Talmadge

A hidden gem in San Diego, Talmadge (92115) is named after famous silent movie stars, the Talmadge Sisters – Norma, Constance and Jean. Today, the streets of Talmadge are adorned with their names.  This centrally located community toward the eastern end of what we consider “Metro San Diego,” is comprised of approximately 1,500 homes. Bordered by canyons and sitting just north of El Cajon Blvd., Talmadge exudes pride of ownership. Primarily single level homes, with many of them built in the 40’s-50’s, and a smattering of “Spanish Styles”, this is a great place to call “home.”  The residents come together throughout the year to enjoy volunteer-run events such as the Talmadge Block Party, 4^th of July Parade, Holiday Caroling, Food Truck Nights and sometimes you’ll even see a pop up outdoor mini-music fest put on by some local resident musicians! Talmadge is one of the first (and only) communities in San Diego to have their power lines underground; providing a clean, open view of the gorgeous San Diego sky and offers terrific freeway access in just about all directions from the 8, 15, 805 and 94.
